Microsoft has shifted its Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations update cadence from biannual to monthly. This new release schedule allows for more frequent updates that cover both platform and application changes. As part of this update cadence, all customers must be on the same version of the software, known as ‘One Version.’ This ensures that your business’s Dynamics 365 system will remain up to date. Read on for more information.
As with all releases, Microsoft will support these platforms for as long as they are maintained on supported application versions. Microsoft will provide support for version 7.3 until January 1, 2019. After that, customers will have to upgrade to the latest version of the platform and Financial Reporting. They will need to do so within 90 days of their extensibility request fulfillment. The service updates are free of charge.
